Renault has announced the Megane Renault Sport 265 Trophy the fastest road going car ever, ahead of next weekends World Series by Renault and its official debut in Nurburgring. The new Megane builds off of the existing Megane Renault sport 250 but like the name suggests, packs in an additional 15hp from its engine and an extra 20Nm of torque.
The company says the car will reach 62 mph in 6 seconds flat down from 6.1 with a top speed of 158 mph with a boost in turbo pressure of 0.2 bar to 2.5 bar and a revised air intake. The new 265 Trophy, even though it is based on the Cup chassis has some nice extras that are standard like the Recaro seats with detailing and yellow seatbelts, a Renault sport on board performance tracking system and number plaque from the UK.
For those wanting more there is the Renault i.d. Diamond Black roof as an option for only £415. There are also 19 inch speedline alloys that have red trim, Bridgestone high performance Potenza RE050A tyres, LED daytime running lights and Trophy red decals on the doors and F1 styled front blade. Available from the 20th of June to order with delivers in late July.
